Not the One

Living Found in a Lost World

Jesus tells of the parable of the Lost Sheep. A shepherd has one-hundred sheep, one goes missing and He leaves the ninety-nine to look for the one. What a beautiful portrait of our Great Shepherd, Jesus. He will always look after us, find us, heal us and keep us safe, but there must be a point in our Christian walk that we no longer are that “one” that always goes astray. The time of wandering is over; stop running away when things get tough and challenging.  You have been called for such a time as this. You have a job, a purpose, a high and holy calling from the creator of the universe. Step up and be who God has called you to be.

Susanne M. Ryan

Susanne grew up in Hemet, California. She is the youngest daughter of Pastors Bob & Susan Beckett of DP City Church. She has been married to Steve since 2001. Both Steve and Susanne have been in ministry for many years, and between the two of them have ministered in every area on the church campus. They are currently associate pastors at DP City Church.

They have both served in Kids Church as well as Jr. High Ministry. They were youth pastors for over five years and saw the youth ministry grow from 20 kids to over 125 kids per week. Their motto in youth ministry was “Church for those who hate church,” and they welcomed kids from all backgrounds – church youth to street youth.

Susanne has a heart to preach the Word of God in a way that will reach inside a church building as well as outside on the streets. She has been known to bring a sense of humor along with pure Biblical truths when preaching the Gospel.

Susanne is currently the leader of Chosen Chicks Women’s Ministry at DP City Church. She is also the principal at the church’s elementary school, DP Christian School.

Susanne and Steve live in Hemet, California, and together they have two amazing girls, Sierra (13 years old) and Cheyenne (10 years old).

A book on Faith

God is looking for people who say they are ready to break the rules of the kingdoms of this world; a people who are ready to turn things around and who are not going to live by the world anymore. Israel stood on a hillside and looked at Goliath and saw his size and height and how intimidating and unbeatable he was. David stood on a hillside and looked at the giant and saw how much smaller Goliath was than David’s God. A ten-foot giant is no comparison to the God of the Universe! How big is your faith!?

Holy Sheep

A Devotion with a little bit of humor and a lot of inspiration.

With so much going on in life it can be hard to take time out and just breathe. We live such serious moments every day and a fresh perspective is what we sometimes need. Holy Sheep is a devotional of humor and inspiration. These devotions are made from real-life moments where God has given a different perspective!

Pocket Jesus

Making Jesus Big

I was unaware that my doubt and fears had made Jesus, God, Creator of all things and keeper of time, small enough to fit my own ideas. He had become like a “Pocket Jesus”, small enough to be put away when He didn’t make sense, tiny enough to not be seen when I had a doubt. I had made God big in the good times and small in the bad times. I had hidden my theology in my pocket when I couldn’t make sense of something and I touted how good my God was when life went my way. How big is your God? Is He bigger than your circumstance? Do you put Him away when you don’t need Him? From the life of a Pastor’s Kid, inspiration and motivational stories to help you see who Jesus really is!
